Experience yourself

What is healthy, what is unhealthy? We are flooded with publicity and news items, often giving you contradictory information. They often make life more complicated and complex. To discover what is right, you must discover your own path.

The Natural Cooking School provides you with direction – a Macrobiotic approach with a curriculum that brings the best medicinal theories from the West and the Orient.

Macrobiotics is a modern version of the study of Ying-Yang (the study of Ki – energy of life). It forms a core part of our courses. This study goes back to the very old traditional Chinese medicine and diet. It blends with similar theory that existed in South America in the Maya culture. Hippocrates – founder of modern Western medicine – also applied an energy theory called the Four Elements.

Macrobiotics applies these theories of energy in the kitchen. Founded by George Ohsawa in the 60s, it was further developed and spread in the West by Michio Kushi. The theory and practical approach provides simple answers to our daily questions and problems:

- How can I most effectively warm my body in winter and cool it in summer.
- How can I have or feel more energetic
- How do I avoid or treat simple and common ailments like colds, constipations and headaches
- How can I deal with more complex health issues such as asthma, allergies and heart problems.

Our courses offer you an opportunity to gain insight, make nutrition and even health management less complex. Practice and theory are closely interlinked and during our courses, you will personally experience the positive impact of a balanced diet.

Finally, we ask you not to believe anything we say – experience for yourself. See you soon, let’s cook up a storm together in the kitchen!
